After high school I attended Kennesaw Jr. College. It became a 4 year school while I was there. I met Nancy Bowen after high school. We fell in love and were married in 1976. I've had a blessed and fortunate life. I went to work for the U.S. Treasury Dept in 1975. In my career we relocated a few times. First to Nashville TN, then to Jackson MS, then Greensboro NC and finally back to Atlanta where I retired in 2010 after 35 years with Treasury. During that time we had 2 wonderful children. Our daughter, Mandy Deming, was born in 1978. She graduated from Berry College and had a brief career with Emory University. She is currently a homemaker and home school teacher for her 2 children. She is married with 2 beautiful, smart and healthy children. She recently relocated with her family from their long time home in Greenville SC to Gainesville GA where they live within 30 minutes of us. We are really enjoying having more time with the grandchildren. Our son, Joshua Castleberry, was born in 1984 while we lived in Nashville. He also graduated from Berry College. He is married and has 2 incredible children. He completed his Ph.D. at Georgia State University and is now a professor at Kent State University in Akron, OH. We miss them greatly and visit as often as is possible. We pray that they will get back near us again one day in the future. Nancy and I live in a very small town in NE Georgia. Clermont has around 1000 citizens. We love the small town life here. After retirement I was able to spend more time in service to my community. I was elected to the Clermont Town Council a few years ago. I'm currently serving my second term. I'm also on the Board of Directors of a small private Christian school here in Clermont. Nancy and I have always loved motorcycles and have travelled many thousands of miles on 2 wheels. We love the outdoors and Nancy is an avid hiker. She had the time of her life this year when we took a family vacation in Estes Park Colorado where she was able to hike for miles in the Rocky Mountains. Our son and his family are veteran backpackers and he was able to guide Nancy on the most beautiful and challenging hikes of her life.
