Susan had cancer. Life Legacy Susan Knight Simmone, age 61, of Marietta, GA passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Smyrna with Dr. Randy Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. She will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service. A lifelong resident of Cobb County, Mrs. Simmone worked for the Georgia Hospital Association for 35 years as a legal secretary. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Smyrna where she sang in the choir and played the hand bells. She also sang with the Jubalheirs Choir. Survivors include: Daughter: Daphne (Landon) Metts, Acworth, GA Mother: Barbara Knight, Marietta, GA 2 Brothers: Mark (Debbie) Knight, Acworth, GA Paul (Cathy) Knight, Gainesville, GA 2 Grandchildren: Sydney Faith Metts and Jensen Luke Metts And many Nieces and Nephews The family will receive friends Monday from 6pm until 8pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
