Sorry I posted I would be attending the reunion...my son gets married in October, which makes another trip to Georgia in 2 months impossible.  I will not be able to attend.  I wish I could be there.

If you have not looked at the cd that was passed out at the reunion, you are missing a great video.  Vickey Franklin took the pictures that were in the slide show at the reunion, added many more and created a fantastic dvd.  You will be very pleased at the great video Vickey created.  I heard several people mention that they thought the cd just contained the names and contact information for the classmates, but the video is terrific.

Thank you Vickey.  I have throughly enjoyed watching the video.

Hello Vickey,

I noticed a message from Laura Bishop about a CD/DVD passed out at the reunion, prepared by you. Is there any way I might purchase a copy of the DVD?  I hate that I had to miss the reunion, as I had not planned to do so but hoped to attend.  With my health issues, and family health issues then the sudden death of my ex-husband and dear friend just days before the reunion, I was definitely up to partying or socializing at all.  I know you all had a blast.  Look forward to seeing you soon.

Vickey,

Thank you for your assistance in helping me access this site. I haven't seen all of the photos yet, nor have I had a chance to read all the comments yet, but I am sure I am joining the rest of our classmates in giving you all a round of applause for a job well done!

I hope you are enjoying a lovely Holiday Season and have a very Merry Christmas and a new Year filled with love, joy and good health.

Fondly,

Elaine Robitaille Fulbright

Jerry Hopkins

Hello to all from Jerry Hopkins.

Well, I guess you've been wondering what I've been doing....  here go's,.  Over the past several years I was sailing in the Virgin Islands until I lost the boat in the 2017 summer hurricanes.  Actually two hit the islands and of course all the boats were destroyed.  Esprit "freedom" was her name.  I was known as Wave Cowboy.  After that I started working on my classic car collection with the idea that I would get the old cars my grandparents had.  So far, so good.  The 1955 is probably my favorite.  But the 1947 Ford flathead Coupe is nice too.

For the past three years I've been building a garage on the cabin property up in Highlands, NC.  By myself of course.  Pictures available upon request, ha, ha!  I'm pretty much through with that project and now I'm helping a friend of mine restore Old Trucks.  We just finished a 1949 Ford and delievered it out to Tulsa, OK.  Hopefully, we can start on my old truck soon, ha, ha!

I guess that's about all.  I hope everyone is doing well and Staying Alive, Staying Alive!!!  Ha, ha!  Not anything to laugh about now a days I guess.  Sorry.  but I laugh my way through life!  I never had a bad day, ever...

Call me if you need to talk, 404.680-1701.

Wow!  Hats off to everyone on the OHS class of 71 Reunion Team!  Great job!   Most enjoyable!  Thank you one and all!  It was truly a pleasure to see everyone again!

Just a thought?   There were a number of people I would have liked to see again, but they could not make it, or they have faded away  Sad that with 10 years between reunions and we all getting older, the good lord (who ever she may be!)  seems to take many of our good ones early.) Several people at the reunion, mentioned that it would  be good to hold smaller 5 year reunion in between each bigger 10 year reunion!  Could do something simplier  in  2026... like reserve a block of seats for a Braves game,  Or reserve a pavilion at a local park for a catered BBQ!  I am sure there are many other good ideas!   -Michael
